"In justice we trust!"
-Bobby Fulbright
Justice-loving detective and Simon Blackquill's boyfriendo. What a nice, stand-up guy. Kind of an idiot, though.

Canon
Bobby Fulbright first appears in the first investigation day of The Monstrous Turnabout, which is also where he first meets Athena Cykes and Apollo Justice. As the detective in charge of the investigation, he’s initially reluctant to let the duo examine the crime scene, but relents for the sake of ‘justice’. Bobby’s also the first witness in the trial, as it’s common for the prosecution to have the detective in charge of the case testify on what supposedly went down.
Next up is Turnabout Reclaimed, in which Bobby once again appears as the head detective on the case. Because the death of Jack Shipley was ruled to be accidental and not a homicide, no further investigation was done and no autopsy was performed on the body. However, at the insistence of Phoenix Wright and Athena Cykes, Bobby agrees to let the lawyer duo investigate the scene anyway and tries to get in touch with the prosecutor office to see if the incident could be taken to trial anyway. By the time the attorneys have managed to find proof that Jack Shipley had been murdered, Bobby’s found a prosecutor willing to take on the case: Simon Blackquill. He continues to head the investigation until at last, the true culprit’s been found.
Turnabout Academy follows this case. When a Professor is found murdered at Themis Legal Academy, investigation starts and before long, Bobby Fulbright appears to apprehend the suspect, Juniper Woods. As usual, he continues to lead the investigation and testify in court.
This is roughly were CaHniverse came into play, timeline-wise.
As a first impression, Bobby comes off as being a very energetic person. Most of the time, he’s in a very upbeat mood, especially when he’s doing what he loves most; investigating crime scenes. As a self-proclaimed hero of justice, he’s eager to catch criminals and have them face judgment in court. Furthermore, he comes off as being very emotional. He can go from a broad grin to a disappointed pout in a matter of seconds, even downright crying when he’s especially upset. He’s also a bit overly-confident at times, especially near the start of the game, believing that he would never make a false arrest. This is an aspect that’s toned down after case 2, where he’s realized he can make mistakes. In the next case, which is chronologically the DLC case, he even goes out of his way to help the lawyers prove there was a homicide at the Shipshape Aquarium as opposed to accidental death caused by an animal. Bobby’s a bit of an idiot and even a child at times. An especially notorious example is what happens when you show him your defense attorney badge. He retorts by showing off his own police badge and somehow turns it into one big ‘contest’. Or how about that time Phineas Filch managed to steal his shoes right off his feet without him noticing? Priceless.
Of course, being a detective who works so closely with the prosecutor office, he’s suspicious of the Wright lawyers at first. He’s reluctant to share evidence and information, but Athena can ‘trick’ him into spilling the beans in the name of justice. Once Bobby’s convinced that the defense attorneys are seeking to aid an innocent person, he mellows out and becomes far more friendly and helpful towards them. Heck, by the time you reach case 4, he’s even offering to have snacks delivered while the attorneys investigate the crime scene.
Meanwhile, when it comes to prosecutor Blackquill, he’s willing to do just about anything. From retrieving evidence that’s requested in court to feeding the guy’s hawk, there’s no errand he won’t run. There are times when the two are perfectly in sync and he knows what the prosecutor needs from him without actual words being spoken. Bobby’s convinced that Blackquill can be ‘reformed and turned into a valuable member of society’, so he sticks by the guy’s side and tries to watch out for him. Not that that stops him from performing his duty, though. As supervising detective over the convict’s actions, he’ll still use force when Blackquill seemingly steps out of line. Suffice it to say, it’s hard to say who’s got who on a leash when it comes to these two.
Previous RPs
At one point, Bobby became immersed in the magical world of panfandom RP. He spent some time in a place called 'Wankerville', murder village, teamed up with some heroes who traversed the multiverse in search of a way to defeat sparkly vampires and occasionally popped up in other musebox nexuses. (...nexi?)
It was during the vampire hunt shenanigans that he met Tori Marie Nygma and the two of them swiftly became friends. There were a few shenanigans, up until they found themselves in Freddy Fazbear's Pizzeria, at the mercy of dangerous animatronics. It was then that Bobby found himself forced to drop the guise of, well, Bobby and allowed the Phantom to take over. He saved Tori's life and she saved his, but his mask was torn in the process and that's how she came to learn of the 'other guy'. Still, she promised to keep his secret and grew to see 'the other guy' as a friend as well.
CAHniverse
Bobby's introduction into the delightful clusterfuck known as CaHniverse started, as its name implies, with a few games of Cards Against Humanity. While familiar with Simon Blackquill, most other participants were utter strangers to him. Early games introduced him to quirky characters like Iroquois Pliskin, Manfred von Karma and Dycedarg Beoulve. Tori Marie Nygma was soon roped into joining the games as well. Not long after, the group turned from innocent games of CaH to lewd drinking games that would often get out of hand. Bobby, being the ever watchful and attentive handler that he is, attempted to join as many of these games as possible despite a supposed inability to hold his liquor and general discomfort with shows of physical closeness.
Many jokes were made at Bobby's tendency to come running whenever Blackquill needed him, and generally acting more like a manservant than a handler. The joke got taken too far during a game of CaH, when Tori used a white blank card to play the prompt of 'Simon Blackquill's torrid love affair with Bobby Fulbright'. Thus, a meme was born, along with a whole lot of awkward tension. Bobby attempted to evade the point, Simon's feelings were hurt and 'Iroquois' basically told Bobby that love can bloom even on a battlefield, so he needed to man up about it. With this kind of spurring, the Phantom saw an opportunity to take advantage of Simon's supposed 'feelings' and Bobby agreed to the 'torrid love affair'. Ironically, Iroquois developed feelings for Simon at roughly the same time and became quite emotionally conflicted at seeing the two of them together.
As the group of CaHniverse characters continued to grow, Bobby was called to Nine-tails Vale by Jinxie Tenma, who remembered him from the Kyubi murder case and was so hysterical that she'd call just about anyone, really. (...And for some reason Nine-tails Vale canonically falls under the L.A.P.D.'s jurisdiction.) When he arrived on the scene, he found her tussling with a supposed yokai. Upon closer inspection, this creature turned out to be a young harpy child, possibly from another world. The baby was promptly adopted by both Bobby and Simon, receiving the name Kujaku Justice Fulbright.
AND LOTS OF BULLSHIT HAPPENED REGARDING THE PHANTOM. First of all, the Phantom developed genuine feelings for Simon despite acknowledging just how illogical that was. Then the real Bobby Fulbright appeared (from an alternate future where he survived), which revealed the shocking truth of the Phantom's secret identity. Following this, Simon and Bobby 'broke up' for a while because apparently being the Phantom in disguise is a horrible crime that makes their previous relationship meaningless. Who knew, right? Too bad for Simon, the psych profile was already destroyed by that point so nobody had any proof, and the Phantom went into hiding. He usurped custody over Kujaku while he was at it, much to Simon's dismay. There were some more shenanigans with Simon landing himself in the hospital and 'Bobby' having to go pick him up, but there were so many arguments that the Phantom lost his temper and fried Simon's brain to a crisp with jolts of justice. This led to anterograde amnesia. (Also, one of Simon's legs got nerve damage and he got Tori pregnant at the same time. Never play with knives, kids.)
A few weeks later, the UR-1 retrial happened and the Phantom risked his butt to clear Simon's name, taking the blame for Metis' death upon himself. He successfully fled the courthouse but was shot by an assassin in an alleyway. Tori used necromancy to bring him back to life. A short while after this, the Phantom made a deal with Dycedarg Beoulve to erase some of Simon's memories with the use of lethe water. This effectively made Simon forget that the Phantom and Bobby Fulbright were the same person, with the anterograde amnesia working to ensure new memories couldn't be made. By the time Christmas rolled around, Simon was oblivious to half the things that'd happened to him and wondered where Bobby was. Everyone else made a reluctant agreement that they might as well allow Simon and Bobby to get back together. The duo moved into a house together with Kujaku. Simon's inability to remember the 'connection' between Bobby and the Phantom meant that he would stop being Totally Irrational towards Bobby and they could continue being a couple like nothing ever happened. Bobby decided to devote the rest of his life to making sure Simon would be happy, because it wasn't as if the life of the Phantom had anything worthwhile to offer him anymore.
